The story begins 1965 with Pyret

The pedigrees of the dogs below you can find in the Swedish version of "Min historia"

Pyret´s parents were Gavott and Annelund´s Diana.  The pedigree behind Gavott is rather unknown today.  Gavott´s grandfather Bonanza was sired by a dog  Ann-Marie Hammarlund took from the USA, Ch Nu-Boot o Dalmatia.  Bonanza´s mother was Ch Dallas Exquisite.  Gavott´s grandmother Saba is related to Ch Kief.

Pyret was my first Dalmatian. She was born 1969 and was given to me by her breeder and I loved her very much.  I had absolutely no idea of the breed until she entered my life and she started this huge interest.  I showed her a lot and her best price was an international certificate (Cacib).  She was rather common to look at, but the rest of her was fantastic.  She loved dog shows and my favourite memory is one time in Stockholm at the largest show of the year, where she was placed third in the veteran´s group final.  Her clear joy and charisma gave her that third price which we received from the hands of Princess Lilian. Pyret had two litters, both with Ch Indian´s Apache.  From her first litter Ulla Nilsson bought Boing´s Ariadne who became champion and the first Dalmatian bitch in her kennel Vemmentorp.  I kept a bitch from Pyrets second litter, Boing´s Concordia, named Myran (the Ant).  She was very tiny as a puppy but she grew big and became more than 60 cm tall.  In spite of her size and long legs she got two certificates.  A sister of hers, Boing´s Cynthia came to the kennel of Chippet´s where she had two litters, one with eddan´s Halvdan Svarte and one with Ch Of Course Slow Motion.

Myran gave birth to four litters. One with Ch Pepperpot Pentathlon, two with Ch Dallas Super Star and one with my own male, Ch Luonnonpuiston Dan-Dan.  I kept one bitch from the litter with Dallas Super Star and called her Minnie (Boing´s Hermine).

Minnie and I took the train from Skåne (in the south of Sweden) to Stockholm to mate her to a male owned by Berith Malm, Kennel Falabella.  He did not wat to mate her and Berith suggested that we should go to "Acke" (Ch Of Course Slow Motion).  He was very willing to mate Minnie and 9 weeks later she got six puppies, my first J-litter and one of them was Boings Juno.  I sold all the puppies in that litter and a year later Minnie died.  Without dogs in the kennel I bought a bitch from Ulla Nilsson, Vemmentorp´s Klarabella whose father was Ch Boing´s Julian, a brother of Juno. One year later, Juno´s owner phoned me and asked if I could take her back? I thankfully did.  Juno, who was called Julia, did ot like dog shows.  The only tim she got a certificate was in pouring rain at a dog show in Halmstad where all the dogs looked equally bored and uncomfortable in the rain, as she always did. She won because she was a very good bitch.  Unfortunately, the only photo I found of her does not make her justice.  In that picture she is seven years old.  Juno is the sister of Ch Boings´s julian.  He was the father of several litters including dogs such as Ch Vemmentorp´s Kosmos, Ch Vemmentorp´s Lukas, Ch Vemmentorp´s Ludde and Ch Vemmentorps´s Netti.  He is also the father of Boing´s Quickley.

Julia was mated the first time to Ch Golden Boy of Trumpeters, the second time to Ch Solbo´s Union Jack and the third time to Ch LP T-Cart Handsome Higgings. My N-litter with Handsome Higgins was very good and the two dogs used in breeding were Ch Boing´s Nike and Sh Boing´s Nansen.  Nansen had litters at kennel Team, Dice, Cabman and Opticus.  He also mated my own bitch  Ch Cabman´s Anisette.  From the N-litter I kept Nike and she felt like a new start in my breeding.  Some dogs grow closer to your heart than others and she was a bitch close to my heart. Nike gave birth to many good dalmatians but the one I think was the best and whom I liked the most is Ch Boings Piaf.  Her father was Ch Cabman´s Sparkling Moet.  Nike was also the mother of Ch Boing´s Alice and Ch Boing´s Yeats.  Yeats was the first dalmatian owned by Kennel Roshospot´s.

Ch Boing´s Piaf, called Edith, was chef guard dog in the pack.  She heard everything first and warned everyone if she thought we were under threat, but at the same time she was the one loving everybody and sitting on the visitors feet.  Many people that came to look at puppies ended up asking if the could buy Edith instead.  To my great surprise she was tested unilateral hearing (she only heard on one ear).  Edith and I went by train to Italy to mate her to Ch Gluck della Belcora..  The trip was a big adventure, mostly for me.  Edith just waved her talil to every difficult thing we came across during that journey.  Unfortunately she did not become pregnant that time, but our trip gave me some wonderful friends in Pia Pedercini and her family.  A brother of Edith´s, Boing´s Pan, was exported to former Czechoslaovakia and was used for breeding.  He still has some offspring there, which I recently discovered in the pedigrees of the Sunset Dalmatians.

I kept one bitch from Edith´s litter with Ch T-Cart Wagner, Ch Boing´s Blanche.  In 1997 our whole family went with our mobile home to Austria to visit Solveig Jensen, Kennel T-Cart, while she lived there.  From Austria we went on to Italy and Pia Pedercini.  Pia had entered Blanche to a dog show in Parma and we went there.  This is one of my happiest dog show memories, and the first time that I showed a dog abroad.  Blanche was BOB and placed 3rd in the group.  It was wonderful.

Another nice dog show memory is when Blanche became Swedish Champion on the Saturday and Alice on the Sunday, the same weekend.  Blanche in Vänersborg, and Alice in Linköping and the year was 1998.

I had plans to mate Blanche to Ch Nordv-99 Labyrinth Perfect Harmony but we had to change plans and she was mated to Toot´s Route-66 instead.  Unfortunately she only had one litter, she died from an accident shortly afterwards.

The picture below was taken (I think) in 1999.  There are five champion bitches sitting with me in the sofa.  From the left is Ch Boings Piaf, Ch Boings Nike, Ch Boings Alice, Ch Boings Blanche (lying down) and in my lap the borderterrier Ch Cerix Pro Cordia.  Compare the heads of Nike and Alice, they ar rather alike.  The bitches were not the best of friends,  Nike has drawn her ears back and is waiting for med to relax so that she can attack Blanche.

Of course I kept a bitch from Blanche´s litter: Boing´s Garbo named Greta.  Greta was one of the best bitches in my breeding.  She became champion shortly after her second birthday and she was number 3 in her class (open bitches) at the World Dog Show in Amsterdam 2002.  She had a litter with y own male Ch JWW-00 Boing´s Fandango.  Unfortunately she died too, just after her first litter due to an inflammation in her heart muscle.

Of course I also kept a bitch from Greta´s litter, Boing´s Lola, who today 2008, is four years old.  She has given birth to three litters, so far.  The first one is by Ch Dalmo´s Elegant Edward and from that litter  I kept Boing´s Opahl,who is living with us.  Because I never had that litter between Ch Labyrinth Perfect Harmony and Boings Blanche, I mated Lola (granddaughter of Blanche to him instead.  It was a Very Nice litter with wonderful colours, dark eyes, everyone had all teeth and very nice temperament.  Lola´s third litter is by Boing´s Pierrot and when I write this they are three weeks old.

In Lola´s first litter by Ch Dalmo´s Elegan Edward, one of the bitches touched my heart from the very beginning, it was Opahl.  A nice, sweet bitch with very good qualities whom I hope will improve my breeding and give me as nice puppies as herself.

Lola´s last litter with CH T-Cart Gaspari (his last litter too) gave me the "hurricane" Boings Tara. She is an incredibly ingenious, loving and funny bitch who I hope will be a new member of our family.

Above, was the story of a line of bitches from Pyret to Tara, from 1969 to 2009.  I have also bought bitches and males from other breeders and kept males from my own breeding.  I bought Annelund´s Undine from Karin Gustafsson, and she had two littters, one with Annelund´s Xanthe and one with Ch Pasea Pearlyking.  I also bought Vemmentorp´s Klarabella from Ulla Nilsson, and she had a litter with Ch Bobbysock´s Athos.  I bought Ch Cabman´s Anisette (photo below) and she was mated to Ch Boing´s Julian.  From that litter I kept Boing´s Quickley who was later mated to Ridotto Rafaello.  That resulted in Boings´s Chanel, who was mated to Boing´s Byron.  From that litter I kept Boing´s Jazz on breeding terms, and later on she had a litter by SF Ch Caesand´s Zuper Star, year 2006.  I am hoping that this litter will give med dogs to continue my breeding.

During my years as a breeder I have been active in our club, the Swedish Dalmatian Clu. I was a member of the board in the 1970s.  When I moved to the south of Sweden I was cashier during a couple of years and then chairman for seven years in the regional club, the Southern Dalmatian Club.  During this time we came up with the idea of having the Club Championship Show weekend in Ljungbyhed, which since then has been a very popular show weekend.  In 2001 I was elected chairman of the Swedish Dalmatian Club and I am still holding this position.

Males

I bought Ch Luonnonpuiston Dan-Dan from Finland when he was two years old.  Unfortunately I did not keep anything from his litter with  Boing´s Concordia and soon after he got testicle cancer.  His daughter Dallas Facsimilia, one of the best bitches I have ever seen, went on with his bloodlines.

I kept a male after Ch Bobbysock´s Athos and Vemmentorp´s Klarabella: Boing´s Leopold.  Leopold had two litters but none of the offspring were used in breeding.  I kept a male from the litter between Carriage to Accomac Town and Ch Boing´s Nike: Boings Yrjö.  He had a litter at kennel Opticus. He was not very fond of other male dogs andI found a new home for him and he lived happily with his family in Perstorp for many years and died in 2008.

I bought Ch T-Cart Gaspari from Solveig Jensen.  He is the father of many litters and many nice puppies who inherited his wonderful temperament.  He is now living with Malin Enghardt, Kennel Redcliffes, where he went after my two males, too close in age, started to fight.

A very nice Dog Show memory is the World Dog Show in Milan 2000.  We were three Swedish families who travelled  down there in two mobile homes.  Four Swedish dogs were placed in the breed final: Ch Jilloc´s a Man in the Mirror was BOB and WW-2000.  His daughter CH Dalstable Attention Seeker and my Ch Boings Fandango were both Junior World Winners and my Ch T-Cart Gaspari won the open class, got an Italian cac, was Enci-winner and third best male. (ENCI is short for the Italian Kennel Club).

The male who nowadays is dogmaster of the house is a dog who touched my heart: CH JWW-00 Boing´s Fandango, named Tango.  He is the most wonderful, the easiest, the nicest dog you can imagine and he too is the father of many nice puppies. Unfortunately he inherits megaoesophagus to his offspring, so he is not used in breeding anymore.

The four dogs living with us at the moment are Tango, Lola, Opahl,Tara and the little borderterrier Hedvig.
